Kermit Walker, the assistant track and field coach at Southwestern Oregon Community College, is a repeat American Masters Outdoor Track & Field champion. Battling lung cancer, Kermit has completed thirty rounds of radiation and five chemotherapy treatments. When asked how long he plans to compete, the 81-year-old replies “as long as I can breathe.”
